The bane of PC Gaming.

Today a couple of packages rocked up, Cross X Edge and Sacred 2. After screwing around for a while I decided to install Sacred 2 while I checked out Cross X Edge, one I would later regret. I'll go into Cross X Edge another time when I've spent more time with it, but it's quite an interesting strategy turn based game.

After waiting for the two DVDs of Sacred 2 too install, I thought it best to get it up to date with the latest patch, which itself is 800mb, which usually wouldn't be a huge issue to me. It's an issue when I download what is supposed to be a complete update, but fails even to detect the game. I don't so much mind having to download patch, when they goddamn well work. How does this issue even exists, I'm not using some fucking strange set up, its a laptop with vista, that's it. Makes me wonder if they even tested this because plenty of people seem to have the same issue, oh but there is absolutely no real solution anywhere, except to download various random patches.
