You might want to watch this first. Bit of fun from the BlazBlue Story mode.
I spent a bit more time with BlazBlue and it's various modes. Mainly story mode for now. It's pretty much your standard 2D fighter story mode, lots of text and single battles and such. However it does have branching parts and once you finish it you get a completion rating. This basically just leads you to playing story mode over and over for each character to get 100% for them. Playing certain ones also unlocks new eps of the video I linked above. As usual the story mode doesn't seem to explain what the hell is going on unless you get the Perfect ending for a character I assume, because so far everything I've seen so far is quite random.
The game and it's style reminds me a lot of the original Guilty Gear. With it's limited character roster and style of gameplay, it just has a very similar feeling of ARC Systems going back to their roots with this. It's defiantly not a bad thing as Guilty Gear was getting a tad weird and strung out. This seems to tone it back a bit, while keeping their awesome style of fast gameplay. Though this game does tend to kick it up a notch in the difficulty division.
